Entrepreneurship and doing the impossible.

Entrepreneurship and doing the impossible.

Imagine the situation – you are a bank manager and the man sitting opposite you is pitching his business idea. He is going to sell a cartoon mouse to the public and build a business empire on the back of its success.
Now most bank managers I know would have been reaching for the security guard after the first few minutes, how can a guy be so crazy!

Entrepreneurship and doing the impossible.
I am of course talking about Walt Disney who literally created a $49 billion annual turnover company (or thereabouts on current performance) from the strength of a cartoon mouse.
You also probably know that Disney’s first attempt at an animation company went into bankruptcy? He did not allow this to stop his dream of initially building an animation business around a cartoon mouse and the rest as they say is history.

The lessons an entrepreneur can take from this is failure does not define who you are, and if the desire is strong enough you can do the impossible including building a company worth over $96 billion in market capitalization value.

What Is Self Talk And Important To Live In The Now

What Is Self Talk

Why it’s important to live in the Now!
Why it’s important to live in the Now!
As a result of a conversation I had two days ago here is an important thought I want to share with you.
We are undeniably living in a period of economic uncertainty and many people are worried about their income, either being squeezed or disappearing completely.

When we are in such a fearful state our ego will usually kick in and help us imagine all kinds of disastrous outcomes, which in turn creates more fear, worry and depression. We then get hooked as our conscious mind constantly wanders into the “Doomsday Scenarios” it is inventing. The truth is this scenario has not happened; it may not happen at all. The point is it is not happening “NOW”. The more power you give to the negative, the more power it assumes and you are likely to find things happen that are exactly what you Do not want! I often call this kind of self-dialogue “monkey mind chatter”.

Fear which is usually the end resulting emotion of this process is often called False Evidence Appearing Real. On an emotional scale Love and gratitude are at the opposite end to fear.
You need to take control every time you catch yourself slipping into the this negative mindset/ process and replace those thoughts quickly with something you can grateful. for or that creates a feeling of love - In other words find some positive self talk. Many sceptics will call this new age thinking, but it works.
